Frequently asked questions
How do I report a wrong or confusing question?
While playing, use the question's menu and choose “Report a problem.” It opens an email draft with the question already filled in. Add what you think is wrong and send it.
When do clues appear?
Clues start appearing once half of the question's time has run out. Using clues lowers the points you can earn on that question.
How does the Daily Challenge work?
Everyone gets the same set of questions each day (the day changes at midnight UTC). Your result is saved on your device. If you are signed in to Game Center, your score can also appear on the daily leaderboard.
My streak widget isn't updating.
Open McTrivia once so it can refresh the widget. If it still shows old data, remove the widget and add it again from the home screen widget gallery.
I'm not getting reminders.
Check that reminders are turned on in McTrivia's Settings, and that notifications are allowed for McTrivia in the iOS Settings app under Notifications.
How do I challenge a friend?
Finish a game, choose to send a challenge and share it through Messages, AirDrop or any share option. Your friend opens the file or link with McTrivia on their device to play the same questions and compare scores.
Can I get my progress back after reinstalling or switching phones?
McTrivia stores progress only on your device and collects nothing, so deleting the app removes it. If you restore a device from a full iCloud or computer backup, your progress is restored with the app.
Does McTrivia need an internet connection?
No. The questions are built into the app, so you can play offline. Only Game Center features need a connection.
